Authority Zero is a punk band from Mesa, Arizona that got together in 1994, immediately pursuing a punk sound somewhere between the Epitaph roster and Rage Against the Machine’s eclectic thrash. The band released music on a local level until they had a couple of moderate college radio hits, resulting in the Lava Records release of A Passage In Time in 2002. The bands have been smacked with comparisons to music categorized as punk, reggae, surf and even metal. The band released a live acoustic recording in 2006 entitled Rhythm and Booze. Their third studio recording for Lava is due out in 2007.
