Ashlee Simpson -- or as teenage girls like to call her, "that bitch who's dating Pete Wentz" -- has released a new single called "Little Miss Obsessive." The song features backing vocals from Tom Higgenson of the Plain White T's.

 

Obviously a lot of people really dislike Ashlee Simpson, and they're going to have a lot of ammo from this song. Ashlee Simpson, Plain White T's, a catchy hook, a title that sounds like a Spindoctors B-side... there's a lot for haters to work with here. Personally I'm excited about Ashlee's pending rejuvenation (penciled in for Spring/Summer '08) because I've been saying for months that her new CD is going to win over some of the naysayers. Don't get me wrong, I don't care about her career, I just want to be proven right. I was going to post this earlier, but I got caught up doing more important stuff and decided "screw it." Then Pixie found out I was going to post this and said that if I ever posted an Ashlee Simpson story on the site, she would post a comment that was one of the most horrible and offensive things on the Internet. So here we are. I'm waiting, Pix.

Simpson's album, due in November, will feature Timbaland, the Neptunes and Travis McCoy of Gym Class Heroes.

From the strange news department, Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson party with her dad, who apparently can keep up with Pete's hot temper and has no problem throwing a few punches himself when Pete gets into a fist fight at a bar. For those keeping count, I think this is Pete's third [publicized] fight this year, and Joe's first, that I know of.

It appears that well, Patrick Stump and Ashlee Simpson had nothing to do with the song "Black and Light." At least according to Pete Wentz, who felt the need to set the record straight.

A new song from Ashlee Simpson called "I Get Away With It" has leaked to the Internet. The song features a rap verse from Travis of Gym Class Heroes. Take a listen...

The monkey in question is the chimp from Fall Out Boy's "Thnks Fr Th Mmrs" video.

It is unknown if Ashlee's recent collaboration with Robert Smith will be on the album.

Oh, tabloids. If this is true, it's really sad, and she's going to get her nose punched back to its normal size by some crazed fan....

...and it's not because he wrote a bunch of really, really sad songs. It's because he's gone and said something terrible and wrong, and may possibly have triggered the four horsemen of the apocalypse.
