You know how a few of those songs from Neon Bible (the Fire's latest release) sound like Bruce Springsteen? Yeah, well, now it all makes sense: The Canadian band joined Bruce and the E Streeters onstage in Ottawa last night.

At a concert I attended on Randall's Island on Saturday, Win Butler divulged to the audience that the Fire would not be returning to New York for "a couple of years." What's going on?

Earlier this week, the Fire decided to tease us all à la Radiohead. Something (nobody knows what [well, P4k does, the bastards]) is happening this Saturday, October 6th and it probably involves LCD Soundsystem. Check out the site here, although it's not gonna do you a whole lot of good before Saturday.

The relatively unknown singer-songwriter's Close to Paradise has surprisingly taken the honors for the best Canadian album of the past year.

The Randall's Island show will also feature previously announced acts LCD Soundsystem, Les Savy Fav, and Wild Light.

They've also finalizing their tour (thank all that is holy).
