I'm not sure what's going on here. A little while back, a Backstreet Boys song named "Happily Never After" leaked to the Internet. The song, however, failed to turn up on the B-Boys' latest album.
Now, we have a video of Nicole Scherzinger performing the song at the AOL Sessions, and it appears that the song will be on Scherzinger's forthcoming solo album. Is this an official cover? Did the Backstreet Boys give it a test run and return it to the songwriter, who then sold it to Nicole? Did the Backstreet Boys trade it to Scherzinger for a couple topless photos? If Nicole did in fact take ownership of the song, did she get a discount rate, since this would have been the musical equivalent of shopping at an outlet mall? Unfortunately, the answers to these questions are not easily found, and I'm not prepared to research the Backstreet Boys' history too much for fear of having my man card revoked.
I'll just post this video, and you can enjoy Nicole as she takes a break from softcore porn and shows off her silky-smooth vocals. This song reminds me of the Pussycat Dolls' "Stickwitu," except in this one, Nicole does all the singing while the rest of her band just provides back-up. So in other words, this song reminds me of the Pussycat Dolls' "Stickwitu."
