Today's Cover Challenge: H.I.M vs JJ72

Interestingly enough, two covers of the same song came up back-to-back on my iPod this morning -- H.I.M's and JJ72's covers of "Wicked Game" by Chris Issac. I then spent the rest of my ride trying to figure out which one I liked better. They're so wildly different, and they both conjure up different memories. I couldn't decide, so I'm putting it up for a vote. Which do you guys prefer?

Feel free to note, in the comments, why you chose the song you chose. I'm truly conflicted on this one, and I'm calling it a draw, since we're dealing with two of my favorite bands here. JJ72 is definitely in the upper echelon of my all-time favorites [I don't have a tattoo that represents one of their songs for no reason], but I have an incredibly nice association with the H.I.M version.

Wait -- what? Reportedly, the singer almost had to cancel the band's first major US tour because of his "tough" ex-girlfriend who managed to give him a black eye as well as burst his eardrum. There are many amazing things about this story, if it is even true, but here are the two most amazing:

01. She burst his eardrum by screaming
02. Ville Valo got beaten down by a chick.
