As you may have seen earlier, today marks the 20th anniversary of Whitesnake's triumphant rise to the top of the charts with the song "Here I Go Again."

This song is not just another hair-metal anthem or party song. Oh no. As everyone who has every been to a bar knows, this is one of the biggest party-starting anthems in our nation's history.

A lot of songs can get people fired up, but when it comes down to it, there are three songs that have always started the party better than the rest. This is the Triumvirate of Party-Starting Anthems...

Today's announcement that R. Kelly would be playing at the Prudential Center in downtown Newark furthered confusion over just what kind of a venue promoters have in mind for the city. Seriously -- just what in the hell is going on here? Bon Jovi is playing 10 nights to open the place.

Kanye West, Foo Fighters, Bon Jovi Perform on SNL

SNL is about to begin its 33rd season and they'll be kicking it correct with Kanye West joining host LeBron James in the first episode. Here's holding out for a Kanye vs. 50 Cent parody featuring Kenan Thompson in 50's spot. I bet it won't happen but I know it should.

After the first episode, SNL will bring on musical guests Spoon, Foo Fighters and Bon Jovi. In fact, Bon Jovi frontman Jon Bon Jovi will host the episode featuring the Foo Fighters' music. I wonder if they'll do any energy drink skits. That's my Jovi.

In a recent interview, Jon Bon Jovi lashed out at Oasis and Robbie Williams, claiming "they couldn't fill a bar," as well as Pete Doherty and David Beckham, dismissing them all as nobodies. I wonder if Jon Bon Jovi could find this new place I just heard about, England, on a map... I hear these people sell out stadiums over there.
