Who Needs TV? Zeppelin Radio Debuts Tomorrow

I guess there's some writer strike or something? I don't know, I didn't get the memo, maybe the memo guy is on strike too. But luckily, you don't need TV or movies, because tomorrow marks the launch of a new XM station called XM LED. While I am positive they could've come up with a better name -- The Frequency Remains The Same? -- this is outstanding news. I love Led Zeppelin, and this station will air previously unreleased material. For all you Zeppelin fans, this can provide a much needed breather when you angrily tune in for the 18th straight "Lost" re-run.

Oddly enough, XM LED is only scheduled to run until May 8th, 2008. After that, I guess you'll have to go back to listening to the classic rock station and only hearing Zeppelin every 10 minutes, plus a 20-minute block of "Get the Led Out" at 8PM.

As previously mentioned, the Zeppelin charity reunion show will take place in one month. So yea, who need writers? Not u, them is worthless you got Zep and athat is good enouhg.

Zeppelin Reunion Pushed Back a Couple Weeks

Led Zeppelin's charity reunion show has been postponed two weeks. Guitarist Jimmy Page, who apparently is human after all, has broken a finger. The London show was scheduled for November 26th but will now take place on December 10th.

Said Page:

I am disappointed that we are forced to postpone the concert. However, Led Zeppelin have always set very high standards for ourselves, and we feel that this postponement will enable my injury to properly heal, and permit us to perform at the level that both the band and our fans have always been accustomed to.

If you already made plans to go to the show, that sucks, but hey, it's Zeppelin, so you'll be quiet and like it. It's better to have Jimmy Page at 100% than to try and go ahead with this show. Jimmy Page with a broken finger is like Batman without the Batmobile.

For those of you wondering about a Zeppelin reunion tour, the band continues to claim that it's not happening. It appears that they only play charity events. So, my fellow Americans, I think our mission is obvious. It's great that Zep is playing this show, but London is too far away. We need to find a charity that is Zeppelin-worthy and convince the band to add another gig over here. Can we get one of those Make-A-Wish kids to take one for the team? Or is that not big-time enough? Either way, let's try to figure out a reasonable solution and hook it up. My life won't be complete until I see the "Stairway" solo played live.

Led Zeppelin Talks Rehearsals, Setlist

Wondering if that reunited Led Zeppelin setlist is going to warrant the $255 ticket price? I assure you that it's not, but apparently the setlist will include "all" of the fan favorites. As if that were possible. If you can't afford it, you can always go for some of their new digital tunes.

The band is currently in rehearsals for the November 26 one-off show at London's O2 Arena, which is for charity. As for specific songs, we'll have to wait.

"You don't want to give it all away. We played kind of the normal songs at the rehearsal," said John Paul Jones. He added that they'd play "a few lesser known numbers" and that there would be a couple of acoustic songs.

Led Zeppelin Making Entire Catalog Available Digitally

One of the major downloaded music holdouts, Led Zeppelin has finally decided to release its catalog digitally - and we all kinda saw it coming. It's good to know that one of the great rock bands the world has seen will be re-joining modern society. Where have they been? Well, old Robert Plant has been off canoodling with Alison Krauss for a new country album. Jimmy Page has been putting the bad guys away as the band gets ready to play a quite large reunion show at London's 02 Arena.

The group's albums will be up for grabs as full-albums and single downloads. It's going to be a big Led Zeppelin day too, so if you're a fan, I hope you've been saving or at least have plans to hold someone up. The digital catalog will be out the same day as the group's new hits release, Mothership - on November 13.

Dave Grohl definitely would, as the Foo Fighters front man says he is at the "beck and call" of the rock legends.

At this point, it would be easier to make a list of things she likes, rather than hates, I think, as the latter is growing far too long. Apparently, someone asked her what she thought of the Led Zeppelin reunion, and she was rather... underwhelmed.
