While I’m not a particularly big fan of coldplay I feel as though they represent a significant population of people that want to listen to good music that doesn’t make have whiney lyrics or screaming lead singers.  Some people want to enjoy their music and feel good at the same time.  I think Coldplay actually achieves that for their fans.

I do have to say this, though--the lead sing is about as lame as Bono in every way.  He seems cocky and full of himself and that causes to do some really ridiculous looking things in his music videos.  Check out Yellow and you’ll see what I’m talking about.  It’s sort of like he thought there would be some post-processing done on the video that would make his strange movements look stylish and cool.

Still, if you’re a fan of the song and not the video then there isn’t any reason not to get Yellow as a ringtone.  The Yellow ringtone is also one of the most popular around today.  I don’t think it’s strange at all that people love the song but they don’t want to have to look at the guy with the strange jacket that was picked up from some generic 80s rocker.
