Popular rumor is Panic! At the Disco will be teaming up with Travis McCoy of Gym Class Heroes to record a cover of "Space Cowboy" by *NSYNC. I'm not sure what is more irritating -- the idea of the cover or the song title itself.
No, wait. I find the song itself the most distasteful thing on earth:
This is the first time in my life I have ever said, "thankfully, Imeem just has 30-second clips now." Yippie-yai-yai-yay? I feel like my brain is trying to push itself out of my head, in a bold protest of my self-destructive streak that sought that song and listened to it. I must be a masochist.
Anyway, should this song actually happen -- and take it with a grain of salt, as Panic! At the Disco were also supposed to be on The Simpsons Movie soundtrack -- it will be part of a compilation disc that includes other bands covering "classic pop songs."
Wait -- someone in the world considers that a "classic pop song"? People, society is crumbling around us! DO SOMETHING. Screw Live Earth [you're not going to fix the planet itself, anyway] and save culture.
