Weird... Billboard has latched onto From First To Last? Not only have they written an article about the band, but they're streaming an exclusive new song from the band's upcoming self-titled album. This may be really "controversial," [and I am using this jokingly] but I like Matt's vocals better than Sonny's. This song is awesome, and I am really looking forward to this album. [And seeing them with Every Time I Die, for that matter.] The album is out on April 15th, but "We All Turn Back to Dust" is here.

Gerard Way has been pretty vocal about the band's next album lately -- so much for taking a break. Not that I'm complaining in the slightest.... He said, recently, “I think (the next album) will definitely be stripped down. I think the band misses being a rock band. That doesn’t mean we won't explore really crazy ideas on the next albums, or do something even crazier.” Well, thanks, Gerard. That's very clear, and we have a great idea on where you're headed. That said, he has been saying the new songs -- including the one they have been playing live, tentatively titled "Stay," will be a "return to punk rock." Hey, man. Do whatever you want. I think this band would have to actively try to make the worst album of all time for me to complain about them... and even if they did, I'd find a redeeming quality.

In the "more new music, please" department, On The Last Day has put demo versions of two new songs on their MySpace. Sounds good to me.

If Thrice is your thing [feel free to tell me what's so great about them, as well], you can watch a three-song acoustic set at Spinner.com. There's also an interview.

And finally, mostly for iDrew, here's a live video of Paramore performing "Misery Business" on Altitude TV. Am I the only one who thinks her microphone looks like a giant carrot? And am I also the only one thinking of the Andy Dick scene from Old School? Note to Hayley: I've been dyeing my hair since I was younger than you are -- you don't have to match everything to it. I promise.

And that's what's going on. Let's see if you guys throttle me for heaping praise on From First To Last while moments later, noting emo-type darlings Thrice strike me as extremely overrated.
