The UK's Carling Weekend Reading will still go ahead despite campsites being flooded.
The festival, which takes place August 24th-26th, is still under water 24 hours before it opens its doors to campers.
Despite efforts by festival organisers to restore the ground to a useable state, many of the fields will be too flooded for ticket holders to camp on.
The weekend which will see bands such as Red Hot Chili Peppers, Arcade Fire, Fall Out Boy and Interpol take to the stage looks set to continue the bad luck of the British festival season.
England's Glastonbury Festival in June, didn't disappoint, being as muddy and as wet as ever. Arctic Monkeys, The Killers and The Who headlined the mud fest as the skies opened over Pilton.
So it looks like another festival at the mercy of the lovably unpredictable British weather! Melvin Benn, Managing Director of Festival Republic however, remains optimistic. He said in a message to festival goers, "The weather forecast for the weekend is actually quite good – too late to dry the land but at least we can enjoy some sun."
Maybe so Melvin, but I still wouldn't forget your wellies!
