The Nine Inch Nails frontman has vowed that he won't cooperate with labels anymore. He says:
I have one record left that I owe a major label, then I will never be seen in a situation like this again. If I could do what I want right now, I would put out my next album (and) you could download it from my site at as high a bitrate as you want (and) pay $4.
So expect an album next time mostly about how evil the record industry is (put out by the record industry) and then IT'S ON. Once bands start releasing material themselves, the system will crash to the ground, and the bands will finally have caught up with where the consumer industry stands. Rage on, Trent, rage on.
