The Victory Records Tour kicked off last night in Baltimore, MD, but that's just the begging of this multi-band trek that will be covering most of the US over the next month and a half or so. Bayside is headlining the tour, which also features The Sleeping, A Day To Remember, Driver Side Impact, and June.

If you have tickets -- or are thinking about getting some -- here's a preview of what is to come from these diverse and kick-ass bands.

baysideBayside

Headliners Bayside have been through hell and back over the course of their career, but triumphantly came back strong earlier this year with the release of The Walking Wounded. Hailing from Long Island and Queens, New York, they play what can only really be described as emotional hardcore. One of the biggest "scene" bands, they're also a band that doesn't disappoint on any level live.

Recommended song: "The Walking Wounded." I love the vocals and melodies so much.

the sleepingThe Sleeping

Also hailing from Long Island, New York, The Sleeping bring their unique, quiry sound to the tour. Want to know what the band thinks about the tour? Check out this pre-tour interview with the band's singer, Doug, who had no problem telling me why the tour is going to rule, as well as some great stories of band drunkenness and odd merchandise ideas that would rule.

Recommended song: "Believe What We Tell You." It shows off the band's diversity and strong lyrics.

a day to rememberA Day To Remember

A band that walks the line between pop-punk and hardcore, there aren't many bands -- if any -- out there who sound like A Day To Remember. And even if there are, they aren't proudly covering Kelly Clarkson because "they just really like the song." But that's A Day To Remember for you. Check out this pre-tour interview with Josh, the band's bassist, to find out more about the band that promises you plenty of "pop" with your "mosh."

Recommended song: "Fast Foward To 2012." This is actually the first song on my iPod. And it rules.

driversideimpactDriver Side Impact

A member of Victory's debut class of 2007, Driver Side Impact has already made a mark on the face of punk and hardcore. Playing hard to pin down, but almost emocore music, the band has spent the year touring [despite being ripped off twice while on the road] and dealing with a departing member. I got to interview Teddy, the band's bassist, who let me know he has nothing but big plans for the tour -- and the future... while he was en route to Baltimore, MD.

Recommended song: "Reasons We Sleep." It showcases their experimental diversity well.

juneJune

June is the poppiest of the bands on the Victory tour, but don't think for a second that means they don't rock the hell out. With driving bass, layered vocals, and unique timing on their songs, June really stands out as a band who does their own thing. Their drummer, Mark, had no problem telling me about some of the fights the band has had over getting their own benches while touring in a van, back when the album came out. Here's hoping they've worked that out since. I'm sure they have.

Recommended song: "Swallowed." Well, if you could, would you?
