Hard Rock Theme Park owners celebrated over the weekend at the official "topping ceremony" of the upcoming Led Zeppelin ride. The topping ceremony marks the completion of the highest lift hill for the roller coaster.
Park CEO Steve Goodwin notes that the ride goes so high that he's "sure we're waking up a few pilots." In fact, Goodwin swears he's already seen a few pilots take notice. This makes complete sense seeing as how the coaster is 15-stories tall.
All three living members of Led Zep contributed to the planning of the coaster and in 6-guitar-tracks-Stairway to Heaven style, they built the thing as high as FAA regulations would allow.
The coaster is timed to Zep's hit, "Whole Lotta Love," and it will reach speeds of 65 mph while also passing through a 120-foot loop. All right, my levee's about to break with all this coaster talk. For more deets, head over here.
