Albums

In a down week for sales, Avril Lavigne was able to hold on to the number one position, beating out newcomer Joe. Ironically, Joe's record is titled Ain't Nothing Like Me, despite the fact that he has what is probably the most common name on Earth.

The other debut of the week comes from British group the Arctic Monkeys, who set records in England but debuted behind two albums that have been out for a year in the U.S. The Monkeys are catching some heat because apparently iTunes released their songs hours before they were supposed to, which gave the band an unfair advantage. So what? So the Arctic Monkeys are cheaters. Big deal. Check out this list of famous cheaters in history...

-Prince Charles

-Barry Bonds

-Hugh Grant

-David Beckham

-Thomas Jefferson

-The state of Florida

-Meg Ryan

-The Tennessee Titans

-John F. Kennedy

-Britney Spears

-Jude Law

Pretty good company if you ask me.

Singles

"Makes Me Wonder," the latest single from Maroon 5, jumped all the way from #64 to the top spot this week. Impressive. This song is fittingly titled, because when I saw that it had reached #1, it made me wonder several things, including...

-"Really?"

-"Honestly?"

-"Seriously?"

-"No joke?"

-"Wait... really?"

-"Are you kidding?"

-"Truthfully?"

-"How did that happen?"

-"No... really??"

-"Hold on, am I being Punk'd?"

-"No... wait... REALLY???"

(I'm just messing around; they deserve it.)
