I have a big thumbs up for the snow that is currently falling in New York, and a big thumbs up for some news, which I am very much so inclined to share with you at this moment.

It's Tuesday, which means new releases. Not the biggest day in the history of the world for new releases, but not the worst, either. Here's some stuff you may want to check out:

- City and Colour - Bring Me Your Love

- Gaslight Anthem - Senor and the Queen EP

- H.I.M. - Venus Doom CD/DVD

- Simple Plan - Simple Plan

Speaking of Simple Plan, you can listen to their AOL Sessions here.

In bad news, The Morning Of is one of the latest bands to suffer a van accident. They published a post on MySpace about what happened. They were already having some van issues, but due to icy road conditions, they ended up hitting a patch of ice. This caused the trailer to separate from the van and repeatedly slam into their van. Nobody was hurt, but they have sustained a lot of damage to their van, trailer, and equipment. If you're a fan, you can donate to help the band out over at their MySpace.

Live in Chicago? Want to actually enjoy the dumbness that is Valentine's Day? Go to the MySpace Secret Show featuring Chiodos and Powerspace. I mean, it beats pretending you care about a silly, manufactured holiday, and will also rock your pants off.

Moros Eros has announced today they have left Victory Records, but the band is staying together. Says the band:"Moros Eros has been released from it's contract with Victory Records. Moros Eros will not break up. It's members will be pursuing other endeavors while continuing Moros' responsibilities." Not a bad band, but they never really "fit" with Victory in my mind, anyway. They'll probably be better off somewhere else. Or they'll actually break up. Just a hunch.

Anyway, here's a video of Against Me! -- a band that inexplicably makes me laugh at all times -- playing "The Ocean" live last Thanksgiving. I'm not sure why it's making the rounds at the moment, but it is, so I give it to you. Is it me, or is this band entirely overrated? Be honest:

Finally, here's some more video from the I Am Ghost video shoot for "Pretty People Never Lie, Vampires Never Really Die." It kind of gives you an idea of how amazing they are live, and a bit more of an idea about how the video is going to shake out. It's rare that I wish I lived in California, but since this band is in the studio, but doing small shows for fans out there, I keep getting California pangs. I may have a slight problem with my I Am Ghost fandom, but I didn't really just admit that. Enjoy:

And that's pretty much what's going on. If you like me at all, hope for the actual promised 4" of snow, because I will have so much fun clomping around in it with my snow-loving dog. Chances are, it will just turn to rain like it has every time it snowed this year so far... but here's hoping. Rock on!
