A rumor is currently making its way around the tubes of the Internet that The Rolling Stones will retire after they play London's O2 Arena this Saturday, August 25.
It's hard to describe exactly how happy this makes me, assuming it's true. While I think Keith and the boys did their fair share to innovate and formulate the catalog of rock, it's time to fucking go, dudes. At this point, all they're doing is stealing from their fans.
True or not, the members are in their early-60s, so a retirement wouldn't be too far-fetched. Either way, the 02 Arena show will be the last on their two year trek, A Bigger Bang Tour.
Bad news is that you can bet your original vinyl copy of Beggars Banquet that they're going to collab with Best Buy for a DVD of the 02 Arena show if it is in fact their last. If you're a Stones fan, start saving, you never know when they might throw another four-disc-er at you.
