Musicians get into arguments all the time, but sometimes they take it to the next level with a good ol' fashioned brawl.

As everyone knows by now, the highlight of the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards was a scuffle between Kid Rock and Tommy Lee. If the VMA's proved anything, it's this: When musicians fight, everybody wins. You know, except for the guy getting his ass kicked.

Here are 20 of the craziest fights in music history, with video evidence wherever possible. Oh, and no weapons allowed. This is hand-to-hand combat only. Sorry, rappers.

20) Timbaland vs. Robert F.

Back in June, Timbaland was arrested in Germany after starting a brawl. Allegedly, a producer known as "Robert F." called Tim the N-word, and the ensuing fight put Robert in the hospital.

Did you see Timbaland at the Video Music Awards? The guy is jacked. Don't mess with him.

19) Maynard James Keenan vs. A Fan

In the video below, an adoring Tool fan rushes the stage to get a hug from Maynard. Instead, he gets flipped and put in a chokehold. This was done somewhat lovingly, but you can bet it left a mark. He's just lucky Maynard didn't give him the Stinkfist.

18) Chad Kroeger vs. A Guy Who Said "Nickelback Sucks"

Last May, Chad Kroeger got in trouble with the law when he punched a man in the face at a nightclub. The man reportedly said "Nickelback sucks," causing Kroeger to deck him. This happened just weeks after Kroeger was handcuffed at a strip club after exchanging words with a police officer.

17) Shitdisco vs. Their Sound Guy

This scuffle, which was thankfully caught on camera, occurred in July of 2006 at a London venue. Shitdisco's sound guy has excellent form on his headbutt.

"I told you, I already turned down the fucking reverb!!!"

16) Razorlight vs. Razorlight

Back in February, a Razorlight show in France ended mid-set when front man Johnny Borrell and bassist Carl Dalemo fought onstage. The two traded insults before eventually slugging it out.

Borrell left the stage, and drummer Andy Burrows explained to the crowd that, "We get on each others nerves when we've been on the bus for a while." You think?

15) Kurt Cobain vs. A Security Guard

Kurt Cobain was an icon to many, but apparently not to this security guard, who punched Cobain in the face mid-song.

14) Pete Wentz vs. A Bouncer

Pete Wentz gets a lifetime achievement award in this field, as he's already been involved in at least 3 fights this year (one of which had him fighting alongside Joe Simpson). In this clip, Pete defends his friends by standing up to an Albuquerque bouncer.
