We previously reported on it, but now it's definitely official.
On September 7th, a rare 1974 performance from the Hollywood Bowl will kick things off for the 24-hour channel. Bob Weir will host a show after the broadcast and more Dead programming is planned for Phil Lesh, Mickey Hart, and Bill Kreutzmann.
Weir told the AP:
This is gonna be one fun channel. We, the guys in the band, get to be involved as much as we can and we'll make sure it's fun. We want the fans to be involved as well.

Word to wise: Turn Sirius Grateful Dead Channel off if pulled over by the police or else they're going to search your car.
