Joe sat down to discuss different aspects of life in a band that tours as much as Rise Against does, and the type of political issues that matter to the band. In it, he let it slip that the band will be working on a new album in 2008 -- after the relentless touring of 2007, though, that probably feels like a vacation.

He said:

We are going to do a new record in 2008 and tour in the fall, and when we go out we are really going to explore every avenue of every aspect of our show and see what we can do to cut back and save energy. Those lights definitely use a ton of energy.

Speaking of energy awareness, the band was actually asked to play Live Earth, but it just wasn't possible with their current tour schedule, though they would have liked to do the show.

Joe also noted that he's really concerned about Michael Vick's alleged dog-fighting activities, as anyone with a brain in their head would be. There's nothing I hate more than someone who abuses animals, and Rise Against is, rightfully, a very pro-animal rights band.
