Why sit through the most pointless awards show ever -- that would be the MTV Movie Awards* -- when the magic of YouTube can bring all the performances to you?
Here's the pyrotechnical magic that is "Umbrella." Apparently Jay-Z called in guest guitar tech Ricky Rubin to get the levels just right. Those things need to crunch that hard on the studio version.
*Seriously; they gave an award to a movie that no one has even seen yet last night! Even coming from the network that gave us "Date My Mom," that's a little bit in bad taste.
