In a video interview with a Portuguese show, Ray talked about how much the band is enjoying Europe, their creative process, Muse, and how the band is associated with the "emo" scene.

Concerning the emo thing, Ray said:

"In some countries, like the UK, the press is kind of obsessed with pitting kids against kids and they almost kind of make up stories. Every article that you see brands us as "emo." I don't know how, I don't know why... somehow, we got attached to that. It's kind of annoying to see because fans of our band are either picked on or shit on because people think they must be emo kids... and then they're shit on. It just doesn't make sense."

He went on to say that yes, he relates to the whole "emo" thing because all of the band members were outcasts themselves in high school, but he's sad to see that the same things they dealt with -- being picked on and stepped on for being different/liking different music -- still happens.

Not only is it interesting to hear Ray talk for a change, there's a lot of great live footage from the band's European tour interspersed with his interview.

Enjoy:

Who knew it?  Ray actually has a ton to say!
