Okay, now I definitely must see Cloverfield. I mean, I was going to, anyway, but now that Fall Out Boy seems to believe the movie was somehow based on Infinity on High? It's a lock. The only way I will ever believe it is if the monster shows up, does the ridiculous Jay-Z introduction, then goes on his way to inflict mass destruction. By the way, no spoilers! I have friends coming over tonight, so I can't go, and I'm pretty sure I can't just take off a few hours to go see a movie, even though I would consider it work-related research.

Want to hear the new Bullet For My Valentine? It's streaming in full over on MySpace. Scream Aim Fire comes out next Tuesday and is the first album I'm really looking forward to this year. Of course, let's see how I feel about that when I am done with this album stream. So far, so good. The band has also hired a comic artist t to create a 3-5 page mini comic for each song on the album, based on the lyrics to each song. You'll be able to get .PDF booklets from iTunes, and eventually, see all the comics at this site.

We also have a new song from The Matches, "Wake Up," which will be on their next album, A Band in Hope. It comes out March 18th and this is the first taste of the album. You can listen to it here.

Christian-metal/screamo band Norma Jean has announced their new drummer. They're currently recording a new order with Chris Raines, formerly of Spitfire. Every time a Christian band announces a new member, I hope they found some super-talented Hispanic musician named Jesus. Yes, I really am that easily amused.

In news that will probably really make my sister bummed out, Marc Orrell has left the Dropkick Murphys. As is usually the case, he wants to work on some other projects, and the split is amicable on both sides. So Tim Brennan is taking over his guitar job, and Jeff DaRosa will be taking over for Tim. DaRosa? Really? Doesn't sound Irish to me! *shakes fist*

And that's what's going on. Talk amongst yourselves now!
