It might be the fact that I’m video game challenged that makes me apthetic towards any new video game.
Or, it could be the reality that most video games aren’t that exciting (there, I said it!).
Nevertheless, if you’re looking for a real challenge, the new Pinback video game November Fireflight is not the place to go.
It is, however, a unique and whimsical way that combines the band’s
quirky character with tunes from their new album to celebrate their
return.
With The Autumn of the Seraphs set to be released on
September
11, 2007 and a long list of tour dates for the fall, Pinback
re-institute themselves in the rock arena…with the help of fireflies
and creepy-looking oversized fish. As they begin a new adventure with a
new record, fans can accompany them on a different type of adventure
offered through the video game on their website.
The goal of the game is to safely bring back to the Autumn of the Seraphs a young firefly that has lost its way.
I have to admit, it’s pretty entertaining to have the choice of being
one of two characters, Armistead Burwell Smith IV or Robertdale Rulon
Crow Jr.
It’s not every day you get to see these guys off stage and swimming up
and down—unless of course, you get addicted to their video game.
