Due to voluntarily going to rehab, Pete's sentencing, which was set for this morning, was postponed again, until October 2nd.
His lawyer, Sean Curran, spoke on his behalf, saying, "I think he's quite serious. He's asked to go in and he's still there so he's trying."
The charges he was to be sentenced for today are from last May, and relate to drug possession. Today's expected appearance had nothing to do with the late August suspicions of possession charges, which he must also answer in October.
Meanwhile, Babyshambles carries on, with their new single, "Delivery," heading out as a free vinyl single with next week's copy of the NME, and the album, Shotter's Nation still scheduled for an October release in the UK and the US. Whether or not Pete Doherty will be a free man for any of this -- or the band's November stadium dates -- is anyone's guess.
