I thought this ended back in July? Despite the fact that The San Francisco Chronicle reported Paul McCartney and Heather Mills had settled their divorce, the two met in court earlier today in London to discuss.
The court attempted to keep things hush-hush by listing the case only by its number and covering the viewing hole in the door of the court room. That kind of security is understandable, I guess, in light of the fact that Mills will likely receive between $40 million and $100 million.
That amount of money always brings headlines, but don't worry about Paul. I'm pretty sure he still has money coming in because of some band he used to be in. Plus he's still releasing stuff all the time.
If I didn't know any better, I'd say Mills might have had this planned all along. The couple has a 3-year-old daughter, which is also sort of amazing to me. Something about the fact that Mills could go from "I love you, let's have a child" to "give me 100 million bones and a divorce" in little more than four years.
Rest assured, Paul is not working on a song called "The Ballad of Paul and Heather."
