It appears that Mr. Manson, who I suppose isn't quite done with his mid-life crisis, might be not-so-quietly plotting a Christmas covers album with girlfriend Evan Rachel Wood. Who didn't see this coming? I mean, Christmas and Manson are the most logical pairing since bread and butter.
Evan Rachel Wood recently did an interview where she admitted she and Manson are huge karaoke fans and often pass time together doing karaoke. Which in and of itself is kind of funny. But when asked if she had any musical ambitions of her own, or would be collaborating with her boyfriend on any music, she explained they'd love to go into the studio to "rework a few holiday standards," and added, "If we were going to do anything, that's what we would do - just because it would be hysterical."
And I guess it would. The chick with the boy's name and the dude with the girl's name could be the new Donnie and Marie, if they really just put some effort into it. Though, of course, we have no idea if Evan Rachel Wood can actually sing.
Here's her only evidence -- while the two were at one of their notorious karaoke outings, she covered "Lunchbox":
I looked at him and said, 'I'm gonna sing one of your songs.' I was just threatening, as a joke, but then I saw Lunchbox in the karaoke book. I don't think he thought I knew the song. I went up (onstage) and just screamed it and sang it, sat back down, and he looked at me and said, 'I'm so in love with you. You have no idea.' It was really awesome. She's kind of perky and adorable about her love for him, so who knows? I can't really see myself buying a Christmas album by the two of them, but I'm sure its existence would be amusing for a lot of people and could actually end up successful.
