The band has released a video for "Neighbors," and stirred up quite the controversy with one Mr. Mark Hoppus, who they clearly stalked half to death to make the video. He released a statement, just as the band released the video....

Mark Hoppus wrote:

so the other day i am walking to our dressing room in salt lake sity and jack, this guy who tours and videos for "the academy may very well be" walks up to me, shoves a piece of paper in my face, and asks me to sign. being the nice, kind-to-other-people kind of guy that i am, i oblige his request and sign away. come to find out later, it was actually a release form for their new video for the hit new single "neighbors" (which is an unoriginal title, it is actually the name of a tv show in australia, where michael is from). an lo and behold, the VERY NEXT DAY, this video hits the information superhighway, and has MY IMAGE ALL OVER IT. i mean, basically the video is all ABOUT ME. me on tour, me hanging out with my friends, me eating dinner at catering, walking onstage, rocking the house, etc. these dues are totally using me to boost the fame of their own band. but i guess rocksound magazine calling their album "one of the most honest rock records of the past" whatever, it just isn't enough. i guess sometimes you have to have to bring out the big guns. just watch this thing. it really is shameless.
