The award for "self aware song title" goes to Cobra Starship for "Guilty Pleasures," which is the first single off the band's new album Viva La Cobra!. Of course, if you're taking Cobra Starship incredibly seriously and don't consider them a "guilty pleasure," I'm sort of worried about you.

Enjoy the silliness of this video -- and get used to it, because this song is going to be a big hit. It has even won over my cold, dark, anti-pop heart... something I really wasn't expecting.

"Guilty Pleasure," by the way, was directed by the band's own Victoria Asher. Is there anything she can't do?

Lots of people are saying the album doesn't look the album it will have a stellar opening week, in terms of sales. I'm not surprised; they came out on a really busy week and went head to head with one of the best albums of the year, Say Anything's In Defense of the Genre. And the next two weeks are really crowded as well.
But you know what? See above, where I said this song was going to be a huge hit? That's going to push record sales over time... and Viva La Cobra! will probably end up a huge success as a result.
