There's lots of new music today, so let's get to the list:

hush soundThe Hush Sound - Goodbye Blues

This is one of the most surprising albums I have heard in a long time. Why? Well, I've never really gotten into this band. I also generally don't like bands with female singers that don't sound like Schoolyard Heroes or Red Knife Lottery. That said, because this CD landed on my desk, I popped it in. Immediately, I was shocked because I liked it. I really liked it. And in an even stranger turn of events, I vastly prefer the songs that Greta sings to the ones that Bob does. Talk about an album that completely changed my perception of a band. I went into it thinking, "great... female vocalist... boring stuff" and ended up with an album that I quite like. Certainly enough to recommend to you guys, and even enough to get a certain music ninja in my life to listen to, as well. Good job, Hush Sound. I never thought I'd like you, and now, I'm listening to Goodbye Blues for the third time this morning.
