Remy Ma has been freed after posting $250,000 bond, accused of attempted murder for shooting a friend. A prosecuting attorney's request to raise the rapper's bail, citing new charges of witness tampering and gang assault, was denied.

As for those new charges, they supposedly come from an incident at a Bronx strip club, where Remy's "crew" allegedly roughed up a witness' boyfriend. Two men claim they were beaten by the group after Remy told the witness' boyfriend that his girl was "changing her number on me and people are taking the stand."

Can someone please explain to Remy how this so-called "trial" thing works? Or not, it's kinda funny that she's apparently going around trying to beat people to get them not to testify. It's like, hey, Remy, the wild wild west ended almost a hundred years ago, fyi.

Anyway, the judge turned down the request because she apparently believes the charges "will stick," according to XXLMag.com .

Remy was originally accused of shooting Makeda Barnes-Joseph after Remy claimed Barnes-Joseph stole $2,000 from her purse. Barnes-Joseph was shot twice in the abdomen and was hospitalized for 16 days.

As for Remy's career, she gained some notoriety after appearing on Fat Joe's "Lean Back" and a handful of New York-based mixtapes. She was set to release a new mixtape this summer, Shesus Khryst, but, uh, I guess that never happened, eh?
