Ne-Yo has some things to say about Karrine "The Artist Formerly Known as Superhead" Steffans' recent allegations that the two were romantically linked earlier this year.
He offered up some choice quotables on the subject of Steffans to backstage reporters at New Orleans' Essence Music Festival over the weekend:
You know what, when the whole gay rumor [surfaced,] people were telling me, "You're nobody till they think you're gay." I'm adding this to that. Now that Karrine Steffans has claimed me, I guess I've officially arrived. I've made the second book, cool.
Steffans, a former video girl who penned last year's Confessions of a Video Vixen, made claims to MTV News last week that she and Ne-Yo hooked up a few months ago. Details of the incident will apparently be included in her new book The Vixen Diaries, due out September 25.
