The nice thing is, they didn't do it for some spoiled little brat; the girl actually had cancer and won a contest where MTV held her party at Roseland in NYC. My Chemical Romance had the night off, and played the show for the girl. They are truly nice guys.

And here, I thought my birthday cake this year, which read "Hope you liked the cancer!" was the best cake ever [you have to have a sense of humor about these sorts of things] but this chick got a cake with Gerard Way inside it. Mine didn't even have an action figure of him inside it.
But seriously -- it's hard to talk crap about a band that has toured relentlessly all year, but still uses a rare night off to appear at a sick girl's sweet sixteen party.
