Nelly protégé Murphy Lee is finally about to release his sophomore album, U C Me, and with a four year break between his two albums, dude's got some splainin' to do.
"Some people got enough paper to do that. We worked so hard within those five years. We never got a chance to be off," Lee said.
So is this the royal we or is he including Nelly here? Murphy added that he was young when he got into the game and after his successes he felt that he needed to get his thoughts together.
Anyway, Murphy said that on this new album he "had to make a classic" as in the fact that "It's like a box of frosted flake cereals ... Original," Murphy said. Shoutmouth opinion: Cheerios are way more street but props for comparing the album to a box of cereal.
Regardless, U C Me is due out this winter and features production from Basement Beat members Koko and Wally.
