Never one to shy away from criticizing, well, just about anything, Moby now lashes out at Live Earth for selling meat at the shows.
A clearly frustrated Moby posted on his blog that he was "stunned" by the fact that "almost no one" talks about how raising cattle can harm the environment. Moby claims that raising cattle "produces more greenhouse gases than driving cars," although he offers no numbers.
Moby continued:
When the major news media report on global warming why do they rarely (if at all) discuss the role of livestock production in climate change? It's kind of like talking about the causes of the civil war and forgetting to mention slavery and abolitionism, or talking about someone with lung cancer and neglecting to mention that they smoked 2 packs of cigarettes a day.
Moby tops it all off with a cynical jab at Mr. Live Earth himself, Al Gore.
"It's just depressing that some huge truths about climate change are too inconvenient even for the well-intentioned left," Moby wrote.
