Reuters reports that about 2,000 of Michael Jackson's personal effects will be auctioned off at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on May 30-31. Items up for bid include Jackson's gold record for "Thriller," his trademark black fedora, handwritten lyrics, a gold sequined jacket, sunglasses, and a microphone used by the King of Pop. This memorabilia was sold off in a bankruptcy sale years ago, and made headlines when some of the items had to be turned over to police in 2004 during Jackson's child molestation case.
Fans unable to make the trip to Las Vegas can bid on the items through Ebay. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't bid on anything that was involved in a child molestation case. Even if he was acquitted.
