Merl Ledford III, Esq. is more than just a guy with a badass name. He's the most badass lawyer on earth, and wrote a letter that caused the RIAA to immediately withdraw a lawsuit against his clients. The letter is truly a wonder to behold.
Honestly, if I wrote this letter, which is probably the greatest verbal bitch-slapping in the history of the written word, I'd sit back, kiss the paper, and probably find someone -- anyone -- to kiss my butt, just because I'd be that full of myself.
My personal favorite part is his list of demands, which includes, "Apology on your firm's letterhead by your supervising partner for inappropriately filing and maintaining an action against Mr. Merchant without probable cause and for the emotional hardship that such litigation caused."
On a day where the RIAA was named "Worst Company in America", there has to be a lot of people more than a little psyched that there are guys like Mr. Ledford III out there, fighting the behemoth on behalf of the people.
