An Irish judge has ordered testimony from Eminem as to why he cancelled a sell-out show in the country in 2005. The concert's promoter MCD Productions is seeking €1.5 million (a little less than $2 million) from three London insurance companies who refused to underwrite MCD after the concert was cancelled.

The date was to have been part of the rapper's European Anger Management tour, which was cancelled due to what Em's management called "exhaustion." The September 2005 show in Slane had sold out its 80,000 tickets in less than an hour.

Irish High Court Judge Peter Kelly issued a letter of request on Monday, March 6 for Eminem to provide evidence of his condition. The letter was passed on to Irish Department of Foreign Affairs and from there will go to The United States State Department.

The judge also refused to keep Em's testimony in the matter private, as had been requested. He explained that doing so would set up precedent for any witness who was embarrassed by their actions and that all testimony needed to be part of the public record.

It looks likes someone shall be summering in Dublin. I smell reality show.
