I guess he didn't get the memo concerning the fact that Spider-Man is emo, not... well, whatever it is Manson is. In other news, someone is actually making "Spider-Man: The Musical"?

 

Apprently, yes, someone is. Award-winning director Julie Taymor, who most recently directed a film called Across the Universe, and is well known for her work on the Broadway adaptation of "The Lion King," will be taking on this ambitious project.

 

While laying the groundwork for "Spider-Man: The Musical," the director was approached by Marilyn Manson, who asked her for a role in the production. She said, "Marilyn asked me if he could have a part. The funny thing is, he really liked the music on my new movie."

 

I don't know why that is so funny, considering a quick look at the soundtrack shows one of the songs was performed by Manson's girlfriend, Evan Rachel Wood. Then again, maybe Julie Taymor is easily amused. Or she doesn't grasp that Manson likes everything Evan does, and vice versa.

 

Anyway, if Manson happens to get a role in this musical production, here's hoping he can learn this famous dance:
