I just spit water on mine when I read his wild claims that My Chemical Romance is ripping him off and "want to be like him." He claims they imitate him, and he's "embarrassed" to be himself. I'd think the insane paranoia would be more of an issue.
Speaking to the NME, Manson said his new song "Mutilation is the Sincerest Form of Flattery" is about My Chemical Romance. No word on whether or not the band is offended he wrote such a shitty song about them, but they probably are too busy being a relevant band to care.
He told the magazine, "I'm embarrassed to be me because these people are doing a really sad, pitiful, shallow version of what I've done. If they want to identify with me then here's a razor blade. Call me when you're done and we'll talk."
Really, though, if he's so embarrassed, why doesn't he take that razor blade himself? Remember, sir, it's up and down the road, not across the street.
Both bands are slated to appear at the Download Festival in Donnington Park this weekend, though My Chemcial Romance will be headlining Friday and Manson will be playing before headliners Linkin Park on Saturday. Hmmm... not that headlining a huge festival means anything, right?
