Rather than "Blue Magic," Jay-Z will be looking at some red tape leftover from the weekend after a man was stabbed in the eye Saturday night at Jay's Manhattan venue, the 40/40 Club. Good luck with that club business, businessman.
A 30-year-old man named Neville Dangou was arrested, charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon. He apparently stabbed Christopher Harris, a 26-year-old off-duty corrections academy cadet.
Dangou was later released on $1,000 bail but Harris was rushed to St. Vincent's Hospital around 1:30 a.m. to be treated for lacerations to the face.
This definitely won't look good as Jay tries to land the naming rights to the Nets' arena, though it is pretty gangster, so I hear. Speaking of gangsters, Jay is also working on a new album inspired by Ridley Scott's upcoming American Gangster.
