A man named Jim Volpe, who reportedly ended up in the emergency room Friday night, claims he was beaten for trying to tape Ted Nugent's Ridgefest performance in Chicago.
Let's just get this out of the way before we go any further. Anyone taping a Ted Nugent performance in 2007 - video, audio, whatever - kind of deserves to suffer a beating.
Anywho, Volpe was supposedly snapping photos and recording segments of the performance when someone walked up, told him he wasn't allowed to film and asked for his camera. Volpe said he'd give him the tape, but the man replied, "It's too late for that now."
"He got me in a headlock, and the rest is history," Volpe said.
For starters, how was it too late for a logical solution to what the dude saw as a problem? Also, I love that "the rest is history" implies the "I got beat up" part of the story.
But perhaps the best part: the dude who did the beating had no formal affiliation to The Nuge. No word just yet on who the hell he was or why he cared.
Volpe's girlfriend supposedly grabbed the camera and ran. This is often a major turning point in a relationship. Do you stay and help your significant other or take the Nuge footage and run?
