Loretta Lynn was joined by fellow artists at a Recording Academy gala dinner and ceremony to honor her contributions to music. Rascal Flatts, Jars of Clay and the Fisk Jubilee Singers were also honored.
"She truly is an American folk hero. She's the personification of the American dream," said Marty Stuart, as reported by The Tennessean.
Andie MacDowell hosted the event while Tanya Tucker, Babyface and Sara Groves were featured performers.
Who got Babyface to sign on for this shindig? I'm not sure exactly how a Tanya Tucker, Babyface double-bill works out, but more power to the Recording Academy.
