Phil Vassar and Lonestar have both left Sony BMG. The departure was mutual between the label and both artists. No details yet on why exactly the two artists left, but Vassar told CMT, "it's important to shake things up on the business side, too."
Interesting enough, but I doubt "shaking things up" is the real reason two artists left one conglomerate label at the same time.
Vassar is now signed with Universal South while Lonestar is currently label-less.
