Linkin Park rose to prominence during the rap-metal craze of the early 2000s, but the band has always transcended that genre. During the group's decade-long career, Linkin Park has evolved from a heavy band with angst-filled screams to a calmer and more musical act. The band's debut album, Hybrid Theory, went multi-platinum thanks to a number of hits, including "Crawling," "One Step Closer" and "In The End." Since then the band has released two more albums, both of which have sold extremely well.

The band's Meteora album varied from fast and heavy songs like "Faint" to slower, more personal ballads, such as "Breaking the Habit." The album shares its name with the famous Meteora rock formation in Greece. The band released an astounding six singles off Meteora, and the album stayed extremely popular for well over a year, which is unusual and quite an impressive feat.

Linkin Park's third and most recent album, Minutes to Midnight, is a concept album based around the idea of the Doomsday clock. The album is much slower and more melodic than the group's previous two works, though the first single "What I've Done" is in the vein of past Linkin Park singles like "Somewhere I Belong" and "Numb."

Linkin Park also made an album called Collision Course, which features a mash-up between the band's own songs and songs by rapper Jay-Z. While not an "official" album, Collision Course was quite popular.  The album, which was inspired by prior collaborations such as Aerosmith-Run DMC and Anthrax-Public Enemy, helped younger generations gain interest in the mash-up.

Throughout the band's career, Linkin Park has achieved astronomical success. The band has had several hit songs and established itself as one of the biggest acts in the world. You can get all of these hits and more songs from Linkin Park on your cell phone by downloading Linkin Park ringtones here.
