Lil Kim was detained yesterday, August 30, after being stopped for driving without plates or a driver's license. Kim was stopped in a black Lamborghini on the west side of midtown Manhattan.

Kim argued that she had just received the Lamborghini as a gift yesterday. Cops are investigating the history of the car as they learned that someone had been stopped while driving the car in California without plates.

Kim's attorney was allowed to drive the car away.
