Thanks Robert Plant, you were a huge help in figuring this one out. Finally, the Led Zeppelin reunion is upon us, about three months after Plant said there definitely wasn't going to be one.

The reunion is supposedly a one-off gig during November in London. The group has not performed together in 12 years and when rumors started circulating that they might, Plant rained on the parade.

"If there was one, then there wouldn't be enough doctors to support it," Plant said.

Well there is one - so you better get some killer health insurance, guy.

Most reports have put Jason Bonham, son of original drummer John Bonham, behind the skins for the show. If Jason shows up, I guess that means they might play "Stairway to Heaven" - at least they'd have a Bonham with them, even if it's not the Bonham. Whatever, I'm voting for a big N-O on that one.

Also during November, the band plans to release a new 24-track greatest hits collection called Mothership. All three living members agreed on a tracklist for the album and it represents all eight of the band's studio albums.

Finally, Robert Plant is releasing a duets album with country singer Alison Krauss in late October. It features production from T-Bone Burnett and covers of tunes by Townes Van Zandt, Gene Clark, Doc Watson and Milton Campbell, among others.

*Update*

Pitchfork has reported that the Led Zeppelin show will in fact be a tribute to late Atlantic Records' founder Ahmet Ertegun, who died late last year.

They also say Jason Bonham will definitely fill in for his dad - as he did for a 1988 anniversary event - while Pete Townshend, Bill Wyman, Foreigner and Paolo Nutini will join the Zep.
