Those crazy Klaxons have apparently seen a sales bump after winning the Mercury Prize for their debut album, Myths of the Near Future. The group has increased their sales at HMV five times over, according to NME.

The band also intends to begin working on their new album very soon. They'll spend their upcoming two-week break writing and recording demos for their sophomore full-length.

The band's keyboard player James Righton said the album will be a "swollen pop record" with a heavier sound than Myths. As for sophomore album pressure, Righton isn't afraid:

The more pressure the better, we work well under pressure. When we've got time on our hands we don't work well, when we're given a limited amount of time we pull our fingers out and work hard.

We pull our fingers out? Whatever that means, Righton also added that he'll be giving away his Mercury Prize money to his mum.
