Current kings of the electro-rock-what-have-you-genre, Klaxons have weighed in on the death of legendary label owner, music journalist and all-around musical madman, Tony Wilson.

The band's James Righton talked to NME.com from Japan, where the band is currently playing some shows.

"He took time out to speak to us. What really struck me was how passionately he talked about new music and the In The City music conference he organized, despite his illness," Righton said.

He added that Wilson was "an innovator and a true legend."
