For the first time ever, Kid Rock has debuted at #1 on the Billboard Charts, thanks to his new album, Rock N Roll Jesus. The album sold a pretty-impressive 170,000 copies in its first week. Rock supplants Bruce Springsteen at the top of the charts.

In a related story, Rock and his manager Ed "Punch" Andrews have parted ways. It was rumored that Andrews would retire after Rock N Roll Jesus. Looks like things worked out perfectly and Andrews gets to go out on top. He's kind of like Michael Jordan, the first time Jordan retired... and the second time... but definitely not the third time.

Rock has already signed with Vector Management, a Nashville-based company. Also, Rock will be releasing "Amen" as the second single off Rock N Roll Jesus. The song will go to radio in late October.

In one final piece of news, Kid Rock will appear on Larry The Cable Guy's VH1 Christmas special, to air (obviously) in December. In case you don't have time to watch the special -- SPOILER ALERT!! -- it will be Larry The Cable Guy erroneously trying to decorate a Christmas tree, then opening a present that's a bottle of Jack Daniels while yelling "Git 'R Done" 7,000 times.
